Extended training project for journalists covering the problems of IDPs

April 27-28, in Dnipropetrovsk will be training “Problems of internal migrants in the media: professional and ethical standards” for journalists working on this topic.

The training will be held within the project “Professional standards covering topics related to the conflict”, being implemented in Ukraine, Thomson Foundation (UK), International Institute for Regional Press and Information (IRMI) and Association “Jour … nalistska Initiative” (AZHI). The project is implemented with the financial support of the Foundation for Conflict Resolution of the Government of Great Britain.

Over half of the journalists leading regional and national media, participating in the project, visited Kharkiv, Lviv, Poltava, Zaporozhye. Had the opportunity to discuss professional problems with colleagues, coaches, representatives of voluntary, substantial international organizations officials. Round table on issues gathered in Kyiv (March 2015) editors and senior managers of more than 20 newspapers, TV channels, Internet resources. Also in Kharkiv and Lviv were discussing consulting editors of local media experts IRMI Foundation and Thomson.

Participants invite the media that are officially registered.

Organizers fully compensate travel expenses (for nonresident participants), board and lodging during the training.
