Our work remains as intensive as ever: we support newsrooms in frontline regions through grants and training, run workshops on documenting war crimes, develop the digital competencies of journalists, and promote international standards of media transparency. But in order to do all of this well — and more effectively still — we must also attend to our own institutional development: learning new things, improving our internal policies and governance systems. We have therefore planned another comprehensive review and update of our corporate policies, and are announcing a tender for expert support.
We are seeking specialist expertise across the following key areas:
HR Policy
We are not looking simply for someone to draft a document, but for a partner who will take the time to understand the context in which we operate, analyse our current HR practices, help train the team in contemporary approaches to personnel management, and develop with us a working instrument that is genuinely fit for purpose.
Anti-Corruption Policy and Integrity Policy for IRMI
We are seeking a partner who will analyse corruption risks and help develop two interrelated policies — not abstract declarations, but documents built around concrete procedures. The scope also includes updating the code of ethics and the mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest.
Financial Policy
We are looking for a partner who will analyse our current financial procedures, train the team in the principles of sound financial management, and create a policy that serves as a real working tool — with specific procedures for day-to-day operations, written in language that is accessible not only to the accountant, but to a project manager or programme manager as well.
Procurement Policy for IRMI
The task here is to analyse our existing procurement procedures and develop a policy built around concrete, step-by-step instructions — one that would allow any project manager to organise a procurement independently, following these algorithms with confidence.
